Teaching

My teaching philosophy centers on guiding all students, regardless of background, toward becoming engaged citizens who can apply political science theories and evidence to real political challenges. I emphasize critical thinking, writing, and research through experiential assignments, such as designing voter mobilization strategies as a campaign manager or writing to an elected representative, alongside discussions that connect current events to students’ own lives. Grounded in mutual respect and open-mindedness, I build a classroom where students feel a sense of belonging and can engage with one another’s diverse perspectives.
